margin Why OptiPhos is More Potent

OptiPhos is most active at pH levels common in the upper digestive tract, where phytase phosphorus digestion is greatest. Compared to other phytases, OptiPhos has much higher activity in this key area.

Also, unlike first-generation phytases (all other phytases) that are negatively affected by pepsin (the primary digestive enzyme of the stomach), OptiPhos is resistant to pepsin.

margin OptiPhos - The Advanced Phytase

OptiPhos is the most technologically advanced and most active phytase product available for livestock.

OptiPhos releases more phosphorous from feed grain in poultry and swine than any other phytase product. This results in an enhanced diet for the animal as inorganic phosphate is replaced by energy. In addition, OptiPhos benefits the environment as substantially less phosphorus is released onto the land.

OptiPhos was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in July 2005.

OptiPhos is available in product forms for pelleted and non-pelleted diets, and even comes in a liquid form. The OptiPhos product is a traditional granular formula, while our OptiPhos PF product is designed for those producers that utilize a pelleting process for feed production. Also available is the liquid formula, OptiPhos 5000L.

OptiPhos appeared in the June 2 issue of Feedstuffs. To view the research paper and overview article visit the research page.
